Erase data. Recycle or return.

Secure
Wipe.

We permanently erase data from laptops and drives so you can recycle, donate, or reuse them without worry.

Why we follow a federal standard

NIST 800-88 is the government's guide for safely removing data from computers and drives. It tells us how to wipe devices so that your information—customer data, financials, personal details—can't be recovered once the device is recycled, sold, or handed off.

We use three levels of wipe: Clear, Purge, and Destroy. We pick the right one based on how sensitive your data is and what you plan to do with the device next.

How we wipe your devices

Clear

We overwrite the data so it can't be found through normal use. Best when the laptop or drive stays in your organization.

Purge

We remove data in a way that makes it unrecoverable, even with special tools. Use this when the device is leaving your control—sale, donation, or recycling.

Destroy

We physically destroy the drive so it can't be used again. The strongest option for highly sensitive data or when you need certainty nothing can be recovered.

Why a proper wipe matters

Deleting files or "formatting" a drive doesn't actually erase the data. It just hides it from normal view. Someone with the right tools can often recover that information—which can lead to data breaches, compliance issues, and legal risk for your business.

When we wipe a device, we use methods that permanently remove your data. Customer info, financial records, and other sensitive content are gone for good—so you can recycle, donate, or resell with confidence.

  • Stay in line with federal and industry rules
  • Reduce the risk of data breaches and identity theft
  • Limit legal exposure if devices change hands
  • Recycle or dispose of hardware responsibly
  • Get documentation you can use for audits
